Prism Sound ADA-128

Prism Sound products are at the heart of some of the worlds most prestigious recording facilities like Abbey Road, Metropolis, Universal, Air etc. The Dream ADA-128 will be the latest in the acclaimed range of Prism Sound ‘Dream’ A/D and D/A converters which have become widely regarded as the world’s best-sounding converters.

Whilst continuing the tried and trusted ‘no compromise’ design philosophy of previous ‘Dream’ products, the Dream ADA-128 is a world first in terms of flexibility and I/O density.

 

Description

The task was to research, conceptualise and design a UI solution for an extremely complex, modular system.

I led competitor focused research groups where we analysed a variety of hardware solutions and worked closely with both the software engineers and sales/marketing team to ensure an elegant solution was found.
 
I designed and documented each of the UI pages in Figma before presenting this to the wider engineering team for feedback. We continued to refine designs and workflow before handing them off to our UI designer.
 
I created the launch video (left) for a screening at AES 2020.
